Maine Animal Advocates and MFOA go to Court on Animal Cruelty Case

YouTube video: NECN News Report on Court House Protest

Maine animal activists and pet lovers we enraged when Michael Morin of Biddeford slit the throat of Bandit, a rat terrier that belonged to someone Morin falsely believed sexually assaulted his girlfriend. At the time animal advocates in Maine had expressed concern about court leniency in animal cruelty cases. This was a high profile animal cruelty case in which MFOA made Michael Morin the poster person for stronger adjudication of animal cruelty cases. The video is a NECN News Report on November 23, 2006 at the Alfred, ME District Court House. Video (2.6 minutes)
